Image Captures

Images grabbed during walks around and looking at things.

These images are from looking at the beauty of the world. Finding wonder in small unexpected places and then these become acknowledged sources, placed to look.

A couple of the places I look: the clouds, out of airplanes, marks from previous building and use, small interventions into the built environment as humanizing design experiences, junk drawers and working counter captures as personal expressions.

A photo of a working surface. This is one of a long series of works capturing experiences as if and for still life drawings and paintings. These are capturing how people organize their work spaces. This is an intuitive process. It is informed through childhood experiences, mentoring, and tool scale and operational needs.

Flowers scattered in a framed area. Dynamic lines and gestural movement.

Cherry blossoms caught in the walkway.
